I guess the unbranded blades are sold around every streetcorner in India. At least in our place, Patna they are, but the quality of the steel is very poor.

Lohars in India shape out some good blades from automotive leaf spings. It is always better to get a fixed blade version fabricated.

Or ask your local butcher to sell you one.

They have small blades, 4 to 6 inches for working with Chicken etc.
