I've only ever seen one medieval Indian matchlock in my life, it had a Damascus steel block.

There are quite a few about 140 kms away from you.... The Tipu Sultan summer palave at 'Sangama' off Mysore boasts a good collection of badly maintained ones... and the Mysore palace has a few dozen that visitors can almost touch and scratch with coins!

..btw.. can you guys believe it... I am actually looking forward to making a journey with you two ;)
