Tommy is cheaper than IHP even now. However, quality of Tommy air rifles is not what it used to be earlier. I saw a few in a shop in Nagpur. Dry as a bone, and crude machining overall. The wood was also sad, painted with brown paint.

Its always IHP,Cannon,Sisco & Tommy.What about Kulkarni's G-350?

I recently has some experience with Tommy. Though it was an old one and not kept in good shape still it was pretty accurate at 20-25 yards ( that's the distance i was shootings)
I do not have any experience with any other Indian made air guns so cannot say anything about them.
Cheers

Hi everyone, the only reason I registered on this board was so that I could make a reply here, and clarify the little confusion there seems to be. First off, Tommy air guns are far better performance wise than National air guns. Secondly, not all the Tommy models have a scope rail attached to them. Only the high end ones, models 400, 350 and 300 have a scope rail. The model 400 and 350 do claim to have an accurate range of 90 m, however, I never tried either of them. I have a model no 35, which I bought first hand a year back for Rs 4000. It claims to have an accurate range of 60 m EDITED

Also, the V of my gun is loose....that I think is a consistent problem with Tommy airguns.

Have a look at an AK Agni
I have seen a couple of good specimens. Build quality better than current IHP 35 and cheaper too.

Another option is Phorgun air rifles

I still vote for cannon-65. I have seen the toy recent past. build quality of metal remain as it is like 20yrs back but the wood finish quality gone down. They can be super smooth after a good tuning, that includes the trigger.
