Arrestor

Post by Alchi » Wed Jan 30, 2008 1:37 pm

Can somebody explain what is the arrestor or those 2 hole i have on my rifle? Or arrestor block ?
What is the usage of it? Is that important for the rifle, will it be stronger if i remove it, or weaker? :?:

An arrestor block is used when your scopemount does not have an arrestor pin. Either type is used to prevent the scopemount from creeping rearwards due to recoil.

Removing the arrestor block has no effect on the 'strength' of the rifle.

You may place the arrestor block over the front or rear hole. The holes are there in case you need to move the mount to get proper eye relief.

@Mack The Knife: Have to hand it over to you for being professionally polite with the whole deal. I couldn't help but smile at the way the third post was constructed.

How good is your Croatian?

I have bags of time for someone who's English is genuinely weak and none for those slobs who use text speak or are too lazy to string a few sentences properly.

Alchi, don't worry about the English. Keep posting.

Mack The Knife, I meant it in a friendly way!! Else I would've kept it to myself. What I wanted to point out was the genuine effort the guy took! and his trust in our Forum!!! Hmmph!

Plus, I dont think anyone'd text speak after the thulping that somebody took for doing so. Also, I feel its equally tiring to use text speak on a keyboard. Maybe they're weak in their spellings! Who knows?

Alchi, Oprosti Mi, I apologise if I offended you bro! Feel at home. Post all questions. I'm just a friendly goofball! No Offence!
