Emery,

Contact G.Smith Pune<www.gsmithco.com>.Their springs and washers are good and not expensive too.

You can also try Tasco and cherokee springs.

I am currently using a G.Smith Spring and washer in my National 35 air rifle and its value for its money.

Hi Kanwal,

The IHP 35 is rifled-that is it has grooves in the barrel. And it is good for its price and the best among the Indian makes since the barrels are made from imported seamless tubes and the machinery though obsolete is imported from Germany.

I dont have a digi cam handy. Will try to post pics asap.

Regards,

Vinayaka

Ps:when i last checked....that was not to long ago IHP 35 was available at Mysore and Bangalore,So if u have any one comming to Bangalore ask them to pick up one for u.

The barrels (and in fact all other parts) for IHP 25/ 35 etc. are completely made in India!.

DO NOT believe anyone (especially any dealer) who tells you otherwise... AFAIK all models of IHP/ National brand have rifled barrels.

There are plenty of smooth bore airguns around though, I've seen a variety of brands of such types in various toy stores... perfectly useless for ANY practical application... STAY WELL AWAY from these airguns!

Contrary to what you might have heard, the manufacture of rifled barrels is NOT exactly rocket science... outdoorsmen in Kentucky were making their own rifled barrels way back in the 18th century!

Cheers!

Abhijeet,

I bought my IHP 35 about ten years ago and the manual that came with it said that the barrels are made in India using imported seamless tubes.

Hi Kanwal,
I am posting a picture of IHP 35 on the IHP and National Air Guns thread.
The picture quality is poor because I used a camera phone......will post better quality pictures of the IHP 35 and its rifling ASAP.
