A Ballistic Report.

Added in 1 minute 10 seconds:
I found that even with Hammer Spring Dial in MAX position there is still scope to increase the hammer spring tension by about 6-7 mm. I maxed the spring to THE MAX and will see the results tomorrow

Congrats on the buy,

However for accuracy you will need to play around with the regulator pressure and hammer spring tension to :-
1. To know at what regulator pressure your airgun shoots best.
2. At the set ft lb you need.
The Impacts regulator setting is crucial for repeated accuracy. The FPS can be achieved via the HT.
Good part is that the regulator can be adjusted externally, so you don't have to spend hours if time and air over it.

The JSB 18s will get you the best accuracy out of the smooth twist barrel and so will the 15 grains jsb.
You can ignore the other pellets totally. The FX barrels are built around the soft lead of JSB, you may want to stick with them.
Happy plinking. :)

GNV Sir,

It must have costed a lot~1PATI (1 Lakh). I would suggest to have about 3 set of O rings in spare for self maintenance. Enjoy the Christmas gift to its full.

Regards

Mayank

Nice to see you trying out different regulator pressures.

Do run groups at each pressure too.

It's ideal to keep 22's in the 880-910 fps range and 25's in the 910-930 fps range. Found accuracy to be better there.

Your results may vary.

Cheers.

Right now I am exploring the Impact.

I maxed the Hammer Spring Tension to see the Max Power Impact can produce at 140 BAR Regulator Pressure and Valve at 3/4 max. I wish to keep the Reg Pressure at 140 BAR and fine tune the Hammer Spring Tension and Valve Knob to get the performance results I want. My favorite pellet is JSB 18.13 gn for any kind of shooting where best possible accuracy is wanted. I also intend to see how 21 gn Barracudas perform in Impact upto 50 yards.

Yes. You can change to 0.177" and 0.25" and 0.30" calibers. But you'll need a matching pellet probe and magazine also. Pellet probe and Barrel are sold as a kit. You need to by a magazine seperately"

CONGRATS !! for the Beast...make sure you tame it well ...
