You wont get any competition grade weapons from local gun shops, but you can get basic rifles which will be enough to get you started. Example precihole, ihp.

Go to j biswas & co. at dharmatala who sell air rifles under the name of aimco enterprise. U should be able to get a precihole club rifle with peep sights there. Just beside is east India arms company where u can buy Kolkata made rifles like SDB. SDB rifles are good budget rifles. If u have not joined yet, I suggest u join north Calcutta rifle club before paying 2 lakhs for a fwb or anschutz .
