Dear Anoop,

It would really depend on the condition e.g. outer as well as the inner working parts. A very good example in mint condition could go for around Rs 20-25000 whereas an ordinary example would go for Rs 15 to 12000. So the is a lot of variation, however it also depends on how much you are wanting it...then there is no price bracket, you buy because you like and want it.
BTW, you are selling or buying....? However having said all that, people are lusting for the .22, so they might pay more though there are so many in the market now in .177 which will be more accurate and powerful than the old lady.

All the best,

Chicky

And if you are the buyer, don't forget to find out what spring and washer is in.

With due respect to the collective wisdom here, IMHO gun prices in India is mostly a trade off between how much the dealer can 'extort' vs how desperate the buyer is & his willingness to haggle... :)

If you're buying & the seller allows you, I would recommend you to check its internals thoroughly, esp for any internal wear & tear, signs of previous repair, leaking compression tube etc. Then measure its velocity with a few decent pellets & respective groupings at various ranges. A 1966 gun would probably have a single stage trigger. Later models had two stages I believe.

In case you're keen on buying a 'phoren' gun & willing to spend a few bucks exyra, there are many dealers who can import the gun in whatever caliber you want, with their own 'perks' though.. I met this chap offering a new Remington .22 AR for 55 odd grands...

Saw your post with your introduction too. Said you flew bombers. What birds did you fly.. Canberras? They're the only ones I believe we had for bombers in recent times, all of them Maruts, Jaguars & Mig27s are/were strike a/c I believe??!

No sweat sir! :)
Lovely birds them Canberras.. Flew high, nuke-capable, could recce too.. Lesser payload compared to newer a/c but very survivable. Didn't they hit one of ours in 1999 summers during recce & it flew back home on one engine! Used to be a little kid in those days.. War sounded like fun.. Now it feels like... #&£% !!! :)

Dear Anoop,

A 1966 model Diana has some antique value.

Hope if you get it around 15K , it will be a good buy.
