It gets a thumbs-up from the punters on AG BBS. If he is buying in India and second-hand at that, then he should have a closer look for signs of fiddling.

Unless the seller is known and trustworthy, your friend should check it before buying.

Have played with two of these - jarring recoil (hurts the ears, not the shoulder. Guaranteed to loosen stock screws if not threadlocked and may damage non-springer rated scopes), typical so-so Diana trigger, wasn't impressed by the quality of the rear sight, stock isn't bad though the pressed chequering could have been much better. Only shot the open sight examples but the length of the barrel may need barrel droop compensating mounts if a scope is mounted. For this sort of money one would be a fool not to buy a Weihrauch.

Hi Mate
Webley's are awesome rifles, not tried the Exocet but just got a Webley Tomahawk .22.
Looks beautiful with the venom custom stock and generates 20ft pounds.
Has a bit of a recoil, but is accurate if held right(not tight).
In other words let the barrel kick back, like a artillery barrel as long as your body is steady like the carriage.
If your after more power, than the Patriot is the One to go for. Its one of the most powerful Springers in the world.
Cheers

Note.
Webley & Scott has been taken over by AGS http://www.airgunsport.com/
I personally would give preference to the older ones made in UK over the ones made in Turkey.
