I'm still in the process of evaluating pellets... not much used to the .177 models... I used to be mroe of a .22 guy
Any suggestions?

Try RWS Superdome and Air Arms Field.
AA Fields / JSB Exact are a bit too heavy for this. Probably okay upto 10 to 15 yards though.
Try H&N Hobby. Lighter and being wadcutters will deal the rats a good smack on arrival.

Actually you now need a steel breech either made by Crosman or RJMachines, a 14 inch .22 barrel and bolt and some nice wooden grips. Then a valve that has been modified with a lighter return spring and a hammer spring that has a few washers to preload it. Then your 1377 will be a 1322 of deadly repute. In fact just search for the new Crosman forum on network 54. Your little carbine could soon get you lunch.
Have fun and post the chrony strings.

I could do all that.... but I have mainly got this gun so I could hang a few beer cans on the tree in my backyard and plink at them sitting on my patio.....and be assured that in case a stray pellet deflects off of something, it wont do any serious damage to something or someone.
If I want an air gun to get me lunch, I might get a RWS .22 or something... or maybe even use my Remington 870.

Why don't you build a backstop?
Besides being irresponsible, you could be taken to court if a pellet, however low powered, hit someone, something or crossed the boundary of your residence.

I had a Crosman 1322 back in the mid `70s when they were introduced. Accurate pistol but the 6 ft lbs max power was frustrating......especially as during the late `60s I`d had its` predecessor which was very much the same except that the pump handle was all metal and the grips were simple black plastic side panels. Much ( MUCH ) more powerful......so much so that the pistol was confiscated as being a Section 1 Firearm ! The only problem with it was that the connection `rod` between the pump handle and piston was made of mild steel which broke and I had to get another made up.
