AIR MACHINE GUNS

Post by MOOSAA » Fri May 11, 2007 10:53 am

Hi All,

Need your reviews on air machine guns. These guns use 6mm full blown 14 grains
.88 gms steel ball bearings (BB's) or 6mm plastic airsoft bb's weighing from .12 gms to .68 gms. I have invented two models. I already have filed my patents last year, presently working on the third one. My first model can propell app. 12000 rds per minute depending upon the ammo being used. Can be used with HPA, co2 or N2. Presently in touch with very senior Govt. official of our country.

Has posted my intro already.

REGARDS,

Hi Moosa,

What is the application these BB guns are to be used for? Airsoft full auto BB guns have been around for some time now - so I guess you could say you have designed a couple of them - but not invented them!

You can see a video of one such "air machine gun" in action here - http://www.pyramydair.com/drozd.shtml

Anyhow these are fun toys and not weapons... what does the government intended to use these for?

Pardon my scepticism, but I somehow cannot picture enemy soldiers being too bothered about being shot at by one of these "air machine guns"... if anything they are sure to get even more pissed and continue shooting our chaps with "real machine guns"! ;)

Cheers!

Oops! Just saw your intro post.... OK so these are to be used for riot control... sort of a non-lethal/ less-lethal riot control gun? Now this is a bit more credible, how hard do these BB's hit? What's the muzzle energy and approximate range?

I just hope that this DOES NOT lead to airsoft guns being restricted or licensed!! The government can be pretty stupid about these things and is prone to club unrelated things together!

Interesting concept - look forward to you posting more details on this soon.

Cheers!

Hi Abhijeet,

Thanks for the reply. I would say "invented" because it uses a total
different system to eject the bb's. Of course, it uses gas as a

propellent but it is different from so called machine guns like drozd
available in the market.

It is not an air soft gun, but can use airsoft pellets i.e 6mm plastic
bb's for less lethal situations like riot control. In fact it can use bb's
made of hard rubber coated with graphite/ ceramic/ glass or metal of

any kind.

Presently I am using 150 psi of gas and effective range of the full
blown 6mm .88 gms bb is approx. 90+ mts. I am sure that U can

imagine that I can take the input pressure, which presently is 150
psi to 2000 psi with nitrogen or high pressure air.

It is " very " lethal with steel bb's. Sustained firing of the weapon can
let the steel bb's enter a steel drum at a range of appro. 30 mts.

As airsoft pellets are available from .12 gms to .68 gms one can
use them as per the requirement. If a person is hit by a spring air
soft gun at a range of 15 mts using .12 gms bb's, nothing happens.
If hit by a gas airsoft gun, at the same range using the same bb,

something hapens but if being hit by this gun "God help that person".
There is no question of restricting airsoft guns as only very cheap
versions are available here.

A paint ball marker uses 850 psi of direct co2, and the velocity is
adjusted to 300 fps if I am not mistaken, even then one has to
play paintball wearing hemets , jump suits and chest guards. Now
imagine something or someone being hit by a 6 mm steel/ airsoft

bb's with a present velocity of 650 fps.

Secondly it can be used to fire in single shot mode using specially

designed pointed or flat nose rounds.

Personally I really would like to share my " pain and agony" as I
am dealing with these Govt. departments. Trust me this is not easy.

REGARDS,

MOOSAA
