I accidentally stumbled upon the thread . My submission is - a renowned hunter Kenneth Anderson lived in Bangalore nd dwelled around Myrore . His books recite shikar tales , mostly of around the time Britishers left India. He also had his family at South Africa to where he shifted later permanently . A lot of Van Ingen work via this route has found way to South Africa too .

A hearsay - you can find some specimens of Van Ingen work in Jhansi at Captain Abbott's residence . A fairly well known person.

Please do update if anyone finds something over the matter .
