SOME STATES LIKE MP, UK, HP & PUNJAB HAS DECLARED CERTAIN ANIMALS AS VARMINTS. AS PER MY UNDERSTANDING IF YOU BELONG TO ANY OF THESE STATES AND OWN FARMLAND/FARMING THEN YOU CAN HUNT THE LISTED ANIMALS AFTER DUE PROCESS OF PAPER WORK FROM CHIEF WILDLIFE WARDENS OFFICE.

Wrong input. Hunting of the above mentioned animals is completely banned in India, there are no state wise exceptions. Only rodents can be hunted. Hunting any of the above mentioned animals is a crime punishable by law. Wild boar is the only allowed to be hunted during crop season that too only on your farmland.

As per the newspaper report.
Nilgai and Wild Boar hunting is allowed.
The limit is to 5 each Nilgai and Wild Boar.
Prior permission has to be taken by the land owner.
Damage to crop and agriculture produce is the reason for exemption.
Licensed Firearm is to be used.
Animal has to be shot on the Farm-Land and can be recovered from anywhere.
I am not sure as to how far this has been implemented.

The government then hired a professional shooter from Hyderabad to cull nilgais".

"Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate had on December 1 last year issued notification
declaring nilgai and wild boar vermin in Bihar and granted permission for their culling for one year.
It had on February 2 allowed culling of wild boar in Uttrakhand
and killing of rhesus macaque monkey was allowed by the Centre in Himachal Pradesh on May 24".
