sure thing hellfire.
I would also like to add that those who saw the movie would remember the last by the narrator sayin that one can still see the fire in the eyes of the ghost and the darkness and they still fill one with fear etc etc. but i would like to mention that nothing could be further from the truth as they look quite timid really.
this is firstly because they are maneless male lions. secondly, the trophies were of the rug type originally ( when with col val kilmer.)
but after his death, eventually when they were acquired by the chicago natural history museum, they were made into full mounts so the body language/pose is not quite aggressive.
you can see them in the natural history museum chicago website.

for those who would likr to read the original ghost and the darkness,

to quote sudesh beri's character about salman khans character in the movie veergati:

yeh kisi doosrey hi yug ka aadmi hai jo galti se is yug mein paida ho gaya hai.

we are also born in the wrong yug. but lets try to make the best of what we have.

Indian Books of the past were by :

JC Scott
Jim Corbett
Col. Kesri Singh
Khan Saheb Jamshed Butt
Kenneth Anderson
Suresh Vaidya

A publishing house called Jaico used to market these books.

Later some reprints appeared in Rupa publications.

The Hindustan Times published some books by Col. Kesri Singh.

Hints on Tiger Shooting
Pocket Encyclopedia of Shikar
Hunting with Horse and Spear

Other naturalists who wrote some excellent accounts were.

A P Gee
J Forysyth
Col. J C Sanders

Many of these books have been reprinted.

In 2005 I picked up a couple of totally new volumes by RS Naidu an ex Shikari ( PH ) of Allywn Cooper Mercury of Mr. V C SHukla and a Gentleman from Kanpore leather trade, a freind of Maharaja of Benares who wrote an account of hunting almost all over India.
