Raising a Little Fund for the Forests

Post by Vikram » Mon Mar 11, 2013 11:24 pm

Dear members,

Many of you may not have seen this thread.

Mr. Jadav "Molai" Payeng is largely responsible for planting a forest of 1360 acres in Assam and still protects it to this day.

http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=19938

Mack the Knife made the excellent proposal that the best we as a community could do is to reward Mr. Molai's efforts. Our forum member and a well known conservationist from Assam, NitroExpress confirms the veracity of Mr. Molai's achievements and agreed to present the reward money in person. So far, a good few members have promised to contribute to the fund.

They are:

1. Mack The Knife
2. Safarigent
3. dr.jayakumar
4. Shooter
5. Prashant Singh
6. Drifter
7. SS (will plant 5 trees in 2013)

Thank you.

Best-

Not yet,Mack. But, anytime we are ready with the little pool, it can be done quickly.

But, anytime we are ready with the little pool, it can be done quickly.
Pool as in a list of contributors or the amount as well? No problem, if we are only listing names of contributors at present. If it is to be the latter, we need to know in what form the money has to be sent - money order, DD or cheque. The address it needs to be sent to and if cheques and DDs are applicable, then the name of the party.

Please get admin to send out a mass e-mail to all members with a link to this thread.

Thanks a lot.

I am in.
Best method would be to transfer funds electronically to Nitro Express.
A running tab being kept on IFG.
And eventually a cheque for the aggregate sum being presented tothe gent concerned. Cash would be a istake as it might be stolen.
Also, one might need to help him open up a bank account.

Count me in too.

Vikram/Mack,

I am waiting for my team to return from the island and give me a feedback. This should take another three to five days.
I am also meeting the DFO in charge of the area this Saturday to discuss how best we can support him.

Regards,
NE

I can add a couple of drops to the ocean of your generosity. Kudos to Mr. Payeng, may his tribe increase!
Cheers!
