May I ask where you are bringing the trophy from? I don't think the place where you are bringing it from, matters, even if there are any restrictions, but I was just curious.

Depends on the trophy and whether or not it has the correct paper work accompanying it.

I know of some who get their African trophies shipped to them here legally.

Harnihal,

India is a signatory to CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) and if you have a CITES permit for the trophy you should not have any problem moving it to India. As the outfitter you hunted with about this.

And yes, don't forget to post pictures here.

Hello Freinds.

Again Nuttin is confirmed yet!
But I would like to hunt in namibia, have'nt decided the outfitter yet but i have 4 or 5 to decide from (any suggestions) . I have my eyes set on 14 day safari including plains game and cheetah or leopard(again need suggestion cheetah or leopard). Trophy fee for lion or elephant( i would never like to shoot regal animal like elephant anyways!) is bit out of budget for me.

Cheers!

In which case, CC can put you in touch with just the right person. As it so happens he is in Namibia as I type.

Go for it. Do get all the photos that you can. Did read somewhere that there is prohibtion on bringing in any part of an animal declared as endangered. Will try to find the links.

Take care,

Try this link

http://eximkey.com/dgft2004/hs/CustomSe ... t=43021990

Seems that you can bring in your trophy subject to the provision of CITES.

Take care,

Dont think you can bring in a leopard trophy. There are people who have brought in their trophies into India, that includes lion, mbogo (buff), antelopes, croc etc.
