Nice snaps ssc.
It must have been really hot there, this time of the year.
An appropriate time as far as photography is concerned. Visibility is good , less undergrowth with the animals staying close to water holes. More chances of spotting them.
I am planning a trip to the Terai jungles this weekend , just before the parks close for the monsoons (15th June).

Well done and thanks for sharing.

Now if we can get some of these lions out of the limited confines of Junagadh there would perhaps be more of these beauties to photograph :?:

Thanks Guys, yeah it was hot but didnt feel it as i was excited ...as soon as i entered the park i saw 4 lionesses & at the end saw this male staring at me, infact it was hard to spot him as he blended with the surrounding so well. the guide & drivers out here are useless. all they want to do is drive fast & get over with it, i literally had them by their necks to click my photos. I got some real good ones & some bad ones.saw leopard & lioness on the road near the resort where i stayed but allas i was cycling & didnt have my camera. Rest the experience was good. my next is bandhipur & Tadoba. you are so right skeetshot. also i was taken aback as i did not know that we had african origin people as locals there bought by gandhi & nawab of junagarh for work. i found then real cute speaking original local gujrati.

I do believe the mp government wants a viable population of lions transferred to a sanctuary in their state.
The name escapes me.
I am sure google will throw up more leads

Nice photos man :)
Could you upload a high-res version of the photos? If IFG doesn't support it, you may use photobucket, tinypic, imgur or use mediafire.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.
