Shooting debut

Post by full_circle » Sun Nov 07, 2010 7:47 am

I finally made it to a firing range... @ 75 bullets through this target.

Shooting with a Ruger .22 bolt action rifle at 30 ft. Distance between rings is 0.6 inches.

I couldnt resist this calculation :)

5 ring : 2 score = 10
6 ring : 3 score = 18
7 ring : 6 score = 42
8 ring : 19 score = 152
9 ring : 28 score = 252
10 ring : 17 score = 170

total score 644 / 750 i.e. aproximately 515 / 600 at 9.144 meters, shooting off-hand.

I hope my points calculation is right.

you can try to use same shooting position used by 10m air rifle shooters, check on youtube, and your groups will improve a lot.
