The PM will stay in your outbox till the recipient opens the message in his inbox.
Once the PM has been opened and read, it wont appear in your outbox.
This is not a problem, its supposed to be this way 'by design'.

Messages stuck in outbox

Post by snIPer » Wed Jul 15, 2009 3:39 pm

Hi Mods,
It would seem that some messages are stuck in the Outbox and are processed at different times or not at all.
Can you please check.
Thanks

I've faced intermittent problems in the last few weeks while using PM too. At times I get not authorised, at times it says user (recipient) not valid, etc.

Gentlemen,

Have you all tried deleting your old messages? Also, if your PM box has reached the maximum allowed 50 messages,it may delay the delivery of the messages.

Hi Vikram,
not many messages in the inbox but i do doubt that the PM will stay in your outbox till the recipient opens the message in his inbox.
OUtbox means message has not left your mailbox and has not been delivered.
This still seems to be the issue.
Mods can you please check.

Messages stuck in 'outbox'

Post by supershaji » Mon Dec 30, 2013 10:25 am

Hello,

I just realised that some of my messages which were meant to sent as PMs, are still stuck in my "Outbox"?

...and I was wondering why these gentlemen hadn't replied?

What's the problem and, more importantly, what is the solution?

Thanks.

I think messages stay in your outbox until the recipient views them. The only way to change that is to either send a telegram to the recipient to read the PM you have sent. or to delete it.
