Hi Greener, you Coorgi's are so lucky! I believe the old British policy of owning as many arms as you want is still being upheld by the Indian government. Happy Shooting

Brijesh,

Since you don't need to have a license in coorg, the guns there would be quite reasonably priced. And are you allowed to carry it anywhere in India?? Do you have to get your guns registered somewhere and what about sale of your weapons out of state,
Does a land owner in coorg also get the same privileges (owning guns) in Coorg, as I understand there is no restriction of buying property in Coorg by non Coorgies??

I wonder why most European quality .22 LR rifles wear stamped Trigger Guards. Krico is a high quality rifle regarded as a much better make then a Brno/CZ along with other American made rifles.. I can understand mags made of fiber/ plastic but then one does have an option to get metal mags as well.
Just a thought.....

That is a beautiful rifle greener - enjoy!

Here is a link that has some information on the rifle and how to get in touch with the manufacturers https://www.shootersforum.com/rimfire-r ... ifles.html

If you email them the Sl # 16737 (this seems really old) and images they should be able to give you some information about your rifle. I believe they do keep records from pretty far back.

KRICO & Falko, Kriegeskorte Handels - GmbH, from Arndt G. Kriegeskorte

Good luck.

sorry for not responding all these days. thanks ckkalyan i sent a mail to KRICO&falko and i got the reply. my rifle its a model 100,manifactured and shiped on 26 january 1954.

responding to one the earlier mail by aadhaulya,
coorgs need to get an exemption certificate and the weapon bought should be entered at the DC office.
guns are not cheap its expensive, depends on the condition. A single shot 22 is around 1.25k, bruno model 2-- 4 to 4.5k , krico around 3.5 to 3.75k. i think its more or less the same with all the dealers.
land owners can get license but you should be residing in coorg,DC office will ask for permanent residence certificate issued by the local panchayat.
anybody can buy property in coorg.

earlier getting arms license was easy but not anymore
