Post by vibhorbajpai » Sat Aug 29, 2015 7:11 pm

Hi I am new to this forum, I have 3 questions-
1. I am 18 can I apply for a gun license?
2. Can i buy the .44 or .50 S&W Magnum or Desert Eagle .50 in India?
3.Can i buy AWG 22 Arctic 7.62mm Sniper in India?

Would be greatful if someone can answer. :)

Sohampaul,

Please be sure of your facts before posting wrong information on this forum. Minimum age for a gun license is 21 years and not 18 years.

1. No (minimum age is 21)

2. Yes (all the three calibers are npb but finding a handgun and ammo would be very difficult as well as very expensive in these calibers)

3. Almost no ( You will need PB license as the caliber is 7.62x51 and availability of this rifle is next to impossible in India)

Hi Mr Paul asked for a brief introduction. So I am Vibhor Bajpai Currently 2nd year Christ University, Bangalore doing BBA Honors. I love guns, food, bikes and alcohol, and tea with samosa, parle-g or a cigarette. I learned about this forum through a friend and had read it's name in a Times Of India article where it talked about making gun licenses easily available for good and sane citizens. And that's about it. Thank you for answering my questions guess wil have to wait for 3 years and just a last question-

Why is it "almost no" for the arctic rifle? Can't I simply import it assuming I have no restriction on budget?

If you know a big shot, it can be yes to all (except maybe the first one, you'll need a wait a bit), else, hard luck buddy!

I play Counter Strike. Just saying.
Cheers!

Haha....
Its Ok CPA.

Here in India we are fighting for our constitutional right of self defence and this young gentleman is curious about sniper rifles.... My question was just to check if he is into too much of Mark Wahlberg movies?
