I would say the IOF 30.06 is the best bang for your money. It is a copy of the German Sauer 202 rifle. From all the reports, it is quite accurate and reasonably well made. Some even use it in competitions. What is that point of spending big monies on an imported rifle when you can get a reasonably priced and well made rifle that can be worked upon? At least that is my thinking. Go through the older threads on this topic and you will get a lot of information.

Comrades!

What about spare magazines for 30.06. Some claim additional 5 rounds meaning 10 rounds at a time!
Anyone has given a shot at it.

Any leads!

Very nice indeed. Where did you get it done and what were the damages. I also observe that you have mounted the scope on normal dovetail mounts. Is it holding zero after firing a couple of rounds.

Dear Chengy,

Thank you for liking the work done, coming to the scope and rail, I hope you have not missed on the single piece weaver type rail base mounted on the factory dove tail. with this rail and just 2 slots specifically made for the scope mounted on it hold it firmly and is firing superd on every repeat fire.

Yogesh Pagedar.

Hi Veeveeaar,

Thanks for liking the work done, this gun has been made in Pune by none other then one of our forum member Mr. z375, ( Zubin ) the entire metal worl along with sites, ceracoating etc is done by him and the wood work by Rajiv Bhosale. if you intend to get it done you may get in touch with z375.

Regards,

Hi Yogesh,

Yeah, my mistake . Didn't examine the mount carefully. I had my 30.06 done here in Delhi but its nowhere near the workmanship on your gun :-)

Dear Yogesh,

This is the most beautiful IOF .30-06 rifle I have seen. It is very elegant. Gunstock is very well polished and looks of high quality. It seems that you have done some work on Bolt Handle, it seems to be more adapted to rigorous bolt action. The Checkering on the gunstock is also very well done. I really liked the job done with the Forend Tip, the ebony tip looks beautiful. I would love if you could upload some videos of this masterpiece and tell us more about it.

Regards

Dear Yogesh, I wanted to ask that the Weaver rail which you have attached to your rifle, does it come in standard size?
