Got into my ammo box and pulled out three cartridges, 10 MM hollow point (on left), 40 SW hollow point, 9 MM ball. The 10 MM is much hotter than the 40.

The Glock is the only handgun that seems to be able to take the extreme stress the 10 MM generates. I have a compact and a full size version. The compact is below:

The Glock compact is around the same diamensions of my CZ 83 in 380 ACP:

nice guns you have got there :) the recoil of the 10MM must be pretty stiff in that compact glock :)

Not to be contradictory, but there are other pistols besides the Glock that do quite well at sustaining the recoil of the 10mm: http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.a ... =117416292

Very nice KS. What's the 10 mm recoil like ? How easy is it to get back on target in rapid fire ?

Bhavjeet - The SW is a good pistol also. Have owned them though not in 10mm.
Lazybones - the 10 has a sharp, short recoil, unlike a 45's push but much quicker in terms of backwards acceleration and muzzle flip. With practice it is fairly easy to control.

If I were allowed one particular caliber/Gun here I'd probably go for the .357 SIG over the .40 S&W.

You are right. The only calibers that is legal in India and easily available abroad are pistols chambered in .357 SIG, .380 ACP and .40S&W. In fact I would be bringing in my .40 in future.

Be warned .40 S&W ammo is not available in India, nor is it on the list of ammo allowed for import by dealers... so future availability of ammo looks bleak as well.

I hope it is OK to post this. I got this from somewhere. This guy is an importer for Federal Ammunition. Is there a list for ammo that could be imported?
