Beautiful revolver, have been waiting to buy this since December but the launch kept getting delayed so ended up buying the Werwin/S&W 686 , Now I feel the pangs of not being able to buy this as well.

I wanted to take a moment to congratulate you and the entire team at JD Taurus on the successful launch of the RT 073 revolver in India. The RT 073’s compact design and reliability make it a great addition for both personal defence and sport shooting.

They should also be introducing the Taurus Model 605 in .357 Magnum to the Indian market. No other gun manufacturer in India has ventured into producing firearms in .357 Magnum or a .44 Magnum, which presents a unique and significant opportunity for JD Taurus. The Model 605, 5-shot revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, would be an ideal fit for Indian gun owners seeking a powerful yet concealable firearm for self-defense.

and yes the title of the topic is misleading Jindal Taurus pistol RT073 launched. It should have been a revolver instead of a pistol.

I have come to know from my sources that it will be priced between 1.40 to 1.50 making it an ideal choice and crushing the competitors. I wish they come up with something in 357 in that price segment it'll be a game changer, even crushing the competitors manufacturing .45 ACP

I already Own Taurus 605 .357 Magnum they are pretty reliable guns. I have seen this revolver on my last visit to India. It's proof testing was pending and I was told that it will be released in 10 days time, but it took a little longer than that. Check it is being tested with KF cartridges. In general terms of complete stainless steel revolver is a better option compared to any alloy body frame.

I am not a sales person but Gun enthusiast and a Sports shooter, living abroad, and with a long history of firearms in the family and owing them myself, I think I have known Taurus pretty well as a company in the past and with this information I rest my case I am pretty sure we can trust the company with it, strong pedigree, and DNA.

Yes, I am aware of these facts, and I expect that you are aware that CBC ammunition and components are marketed by Magtech. I sometimes buy Magtech ammunition and they are the only source for 24 gauge brass shotgun hulls, which are used to form brass for Martini Henry rifles in 577/450.

I'm sure that you shoot Sellier & Bellot ammunition, as I do.

Not all Taurus handguns are viewed with the same admiration as you express, and in the past, some Rossi firearms were said to be of questionable quality. I had some interest in their rifles, but passed on them due to poor reviews.

Regarding this RT 073 revolver that is about to be introduced, time will tell. In the video that netwit has posted, the shape of the hammer indicates to me that this revolver works on the transfer bar system, as used by iver Johnson, Charter Arms, and Ruger revolvers, rather than the Smith & Wesson system which was the basis for Taurus's entry into the double action revolver market in the past. This transfer bar system was also used by Colt in their lower line of revolvers, such as the Trooper Mk III. There is nothing wrong with the system.

As the old saying goes, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and let us hope that the Indian Taurus revolvers will offer a viable product to India's formerly gun-starved market.
