Can somebody guide me on the process to for a gun license in Noida?
I mean the best practice, what to keep in mind, etc.
Looking to buy a Hang gun for "self defense" purpose
Also I just moved Noida. Is there any time stipulation as to how long you have lived there?

If I am not wrong process for application for arms license is same across the country. You will have to apply online for your weapon permit on https://ndal-alis.gov.in
Once you have filled out the form you will have to take a printout of the application and sign it. The signed application form along with the required documents are to be submitted in the concerned issuing authority for processing. Issuing authority for self defence permit is district magistrate.
It will be then forwarded to local police station and tehsildar for necessary verification. They will then forward their report to SP or commissioner and SDM respectively. Who will submit their report to DM. DM will then take final decision. They will all call you for interview/ verification as and when required.
