Suggestion for imported pistols

Post by sibikr » Wed Jul 19, 2023 11:26 am

Hello all,
I just received my arms license from Tamil Nadu. Looking for an imported pistol. Please suggest what make/model to go for. Also suggest genuine arms dealer in Tamil Nadu and Bangalore region. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am ok with .22 or .32 caliber. Price range between 4 and 7 lakhs.

I would suggest 3 pistols and I HAVE PERSONALLY USED THEM ALL, and HAVE THEM ALL IN FAMILY.

CZ27- My father still has this weapon on his license for over 28 years and I have had no complaints, From where i live this weapon could be bought around 5L to 7L given the condition.

Walther PPK- This weapon is very compact and easy to conceal carry, comes in .22 also, I love shooting the .22 PPK as the ammo cost is also low and the accuracy is spot on, My elder brother has the .22 variant which was in mint condition, he paid 12 Lakh plus for the weapon, but in Delhi you could catch hold of cheaper PPKs where you have to compromise a bit on the condition, As all imported weapon are 30 years plus old unles they have been imported by shooters.

Llama- This is also a very good weapon, I would also suggest Mauser but I personally have fired shots but cannot comment much as I like to comment on things which are with me for a longer duration, Llama is nice weapon but again n .22 Llams are a rare find, so ammo cost would go slightly up, a compact and easily conceal carry weapon, you could consider it as a Shiekh Arms Raptor lookalike, rather Raptor is a lookalike but yes you can get the gist.

One more thing, I would suggest you wait for some time for CZ to start manufacturing of weapons in India, they will be launching .32 and .22 bores too, Also Webley has recently announced the .32 variant and Werywin (S&W) will launch in coming future.

My friend has Llama Pistol in .22lr .
You cannot go wrong with 2 inch Smith & wesson Revolver in good original condition. If you opt for Revolver.

Yes it's True. One of my relative in Bihar had a Llama in .22lr. Later on he switched to TT.
I am not sure about the condition now.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m planning to go with .22 walther. Have checked the same. The condition is very good. Also had it fired it in the range. What would be the reasonable price for it?
