Sounds good. I like the design, kinda reminds me of the FN1903 and M1911 for some reason.

Sincerely,
KB

No doubt gun are not allowed to public freely, this guy is in gun making business and doesn't know anything about trigger safety. His finger was on the trigger all the time. :deadhorse:

I think its high time, Ashani Pistol gets a design revamp.

This design is good, but they get very happy with little changes in the pistol. Although with new entrants also coming, people still have trust on IOF as it has been in the game since long. Its like a BUG BULLY in the market with very affordable and trustworthy weapons.

Just by introducing a higher capacity magazine, management got happy and thought it would be sufficient to launch it as an newer version, its like Iphone changing camera lens position and launching the product,

I think that the biggest thing with IOF, and this is so for any single action pistol, really, is the safety. This allows carrying the pistol safely while it is also ready to be used instantly. The pistol must be safe, even if it is dropped.

This can be a positive safety, like the 1911 uses to carry it "cocked and locked" safely. Or, it might be a Glock-like arrangement. The way the safety works depends on whether it is a hammer fired or a striker fired action.

However the arrangement works, it must prevent discharge when the pistol is dropped or mishandled. It should allow the pistol to be fired only when the direct intent is for it to be fired. Then, as a second consideration, it must be very simple to overrride only when the pistol is to be brought into action.

A double action only, where the trigger always cocks and fires the hammer or striker is another approach.

Finally, a pistol that is single action/double action, where the first shot fires by cocking the action, but subsequent rounds are fired in single action mode is another way to design a pistol. Here, there is a differet trigger pull for the first shot compared to the subsequent ones, which is a disadvantage, but the gun can be designed to be safely carried -- like a Walther PP or Czech CZ50/CZ70.

A similar issue is associated with the revolver. It is simple obscene that IOF foists the ancient design they do on the public, but at least it can be carried with the hammer down oever an empty chamber. What the safety lever is meant to do is anyone's guess for concealed carry.
