Not really rare or an antique. Webley and Scott, Mark-IV. That is not to say that it is not a nice revolver.

The IOF .32 revolver is based on this.

Bro, to me its the work of some good gunsmith which is puzzling us. in past the part was re constructed by some gun smith here and that person just made a workable ( Kam chalau ) part and not the exact copy part.

I do not know what you are referring to. Could you please explain?

As Shivaji Dasgupta posted below, someone took a screw driver to it and not very lightly.

Please check the cropped photo attached.

Just a regular, "Bebley", pretty common direct import by relatives as gift to relatives in India, or, else accompanied baggage import till the mid 70's. Then people started preferring the S&W, moreover Webley became unavailable.
Was functional but crude compared to the S&W 31.
Essentially a little brother to the 455 Webley common with ex servicemen.
Something based on the late 18xx' designs.

Dear Vikram,
I think Shabbu9x9 is referring to ear like projections(forgot what it is called) which is absent in his revolver.
Thanks,
Pranjal

Shabbu,

That is a cylinder retaining cam. Some were flat, some were not. Nothing special there. Don't get me wrong. Nice revolvers.

Best-
Vikram
