Hello,
I have a webley and Scott .35 automatic pistol. Is this prohibited in India? If not how much would it value? Need help from experts.

Its .25 Cal. ( 6.35mm). its a NPB. The Price is again a matter of discussion. At any point its a 100 yr old Piece for sure. Pls Post some more Pics of the weapon if possible so that the senior members can conclude on its value.

Its probably 6.35 mm print where the .35 is now more prominent and 6 is hazy or something. its not clear in the pic.
Pl see the below link

As pointed out by someone earlier, in all likelihood the "6" of "6.35 mm" has worn out over the years, so it seems like .35 to you. The photo you have posted is really fuzzy (unclear), so it is impossible to read the markings. The model is readily identifiable though, it is a .25 ACP Webley pistol.

See http://www.littlegun.info/arme%20britan ... 5%20gb.htm for more photos of this (and other Webley pistols).

IMO it would probably be worth somewhere between ₹1.5 - 2.5 lacs, depending on condition.

Cheers!

Pardon my nigger but to me it looks more like an incomplete knuckle duster. But, being made in Golden Period of gun making in GB, it must be a very reliable and a strong pistol. 1-1.25 L is a fair price I assume.

Punit thanks for the new pics. Your gun is really in good shape on a outside look. Internals you know better like the barrels and other parts. As its a English made Handgun and a NPB Cal. added its good condition it can easily fetch 2.00L plus as pointed by Abhijeet. As of now in India, the import is banned for quite a long time so all the available foreign made weapons are of old age. you can Contact few dealers from your area to know the present market value ( Remember Dealers usually quote low price. Add 50K minimum on their quoted price as the original price of the weapon).
By the way Puneet what is the Grip materials in your Gun.

Thank you. The grip is carved in some kind of an animal bone. The internals are perfect and in good shape . Have got cleaned and checked by a gunsmith here in kolhapur.

The Glowing luster is indicating a bone Grip. A Good one I can say. I myself have some bone handled Knifes and One Revolver Belongs to my Uncle have a bone Grip but not this type of Shiny Glow I have seen. Wish you all the best for a Good Price for your handgun.
By the way Missing Kolhapuri Chicken and Mutton Recopies with that two type of curry it was supplied with. Till last year I was visiting Kolhapur once in every three months.

Thank you Mr shivaji for your valued input. Please feel free to call me any time you visit kolhapur. I'll take you to places which have authentic kolhapur cuisine and not known to visitors. This pistol is in mint condition. I'm not selling it , I wanted to know the value as of today for my knowledge.
