I understand that 357 Mag and 38 special are NPBs.
But I see that most of the discussions are for .32 even when you talk of foreign made Handgun. Walther, Beretta, S&W..

Why are 357 and 38 special revolvers not very popular in this forum?
Is this because of unavailability of the ammo etc?

I have lived in the states for extended periods and will again be staying for 2-3 years..
This time I plan to get a good gun on TR.

I love the 1911 and the Glocks, but I also love revolvers, and I plan to get myself a nice Colt Python.

So, my question. why don't enough people talk about 357s?

main reason is ammo or rather lack of it and very few of them are around, could it be that not many in the forum have these. on average a .32 pop cost $2 usd.

by now your must be aware that lack of ammo or high priced ammo prevents people from getting hand guns which is hard to feed. since import restriction what we have will be over 30 years old and few would have been imported before 1986.

so why talk about things which is out of grasp and one can only dream about.lol

Good choice ribaalber. Colt Python revolvers are among the most expensive handguns in India. Also one is allowed to bring 50 cartridges when returning from abroad. So if you plan to visit US regularly, you won't have problem with the ammos.

friend,
as everyone said ,lack of ammo and if available it is costly.
if you are trying to get a licence thro'TR.buy a .32 pistol/revolver of your choice.
also if you can go for a popular calibre .22,30 06.
