If we help NAGRI, and imports opened, all these prices will be history.

else become an MP/ MLA/C / "BABU", you can work your way out of things..
Also you won't have much of a limit of ammo, that way you would'nt have the bad state like owning a Bentley with a ration of 25 litres of petrol every year.

Which prices are not hiking? But I am sure If Indian Government opens the restrictions on import of weapons, the prices will be drastically decrease to one fourth of its prices here now.
we can get a used weapon (both PB and NPB as per India) in USA at very reasonable prices like a revolver costs (good manufactures like Smith n Wesson) 12k to 15k INR and new ones almost double to these prices. And a used pistol costs 25k to 50k and new from 35k to a maximum extent. The prices are in INR not in USD

Don

please do not mind the quote
if wishes were horses beggars would ride,
only people with 2-3 number ka paisa pay for that junk, other wise as many a times the wise men in this forum have suggested that IOF produces decent enough weapons,, to inherit this imported vintage stuff is a different story.
i have seen totally refurbished weapons by cnc operators in MP costing the hell, and sold as weapons brought through?? diplomatic channels.??

In India, if the import ban is lifted.. very low....
Outside of India.. maybe 2-3% higher at best. If it economy picks up, the older weapons would in all likely hood appreciate quicker than those of more recent manufacture.

hey guys, my wild guess is, import ban or no import ban, the way things are going, we should be getting better deals(price or quality or may be both) in coming years, if we can't reach the manufacture, may be the manufacturers are trying to reach us, and why not, there is a big demand of quality weapons in India, and we Indians pay much more than any one out there on the face of this earth(with exceptions).

I was discussing this with some of the big authorised arms dealers from past some months ,the feeling is that the arms act can change but import will never be allowed as IOF makes good money out of selling their world class quality weapon ROTFL

Guys, domestic industry is being protected i.e Modern,Kharudin,Nakasi,New Light, etc, etc.IOF doesnt need the Civil Trade as it ammounts to just 5 % of its business, they are big selling ammo to the forces, though now they are getting rejections from there too.The principle problem is that the import of firearms in India was restricted on the advise of the I.B and today also if asked by the govt for any comments on the same no Babu sitting in the MHA is gonna recommend opening the same,[they can pickup all the handguns mentioned above for roughly the same price as in US,maybe less] atleast not in a Congress led goverment.PC wants to further tighten the Arms Act.The problem lies with the mindset of policy makers.lets hope NAGRI can do something. :?:

Dear Friends,
As I received some information that within few month Government of Indian is lifting the restriction of Import of a Foreign Made Weapons of NPB, for a period of One Years, so I hope that the peoples will import the weapons such as Revolver & Pistols from USA , Germany.
If the people have the passions they may get the Brand-New Weapons on the half price of IOB Pistols/ Revolvers plus the customs Duty.
