Hi Guys
A gun dealer in Hyderabad has recently offered me a trade in for a Walther PPK/S Nickel in .32 Calibre with a box and a spare magazine for my Colt .357 Mag snub nose revolver in stainless steel. He has also offered me Rs. 2.5L on top of that.
Should I go in for it????I am attatching my revolver's picture and a sample pic of the Walther PPK/S.Please note that this is not the actual walther ppk/s picture but very similar.
Cheers
Ashar

hi Ashar
if i had the option i would stay with the revolver as its a good one. has no stoppage/blockage problems.
i once had the same but it was S&W one.
unless of course u need the loot. also think how much would the dealer make even after shelling out few lacks to u.

Ashar, I would suggest you stick with the Colt. They don't make those anymore, as I'm sure you know and performance wise, your revolver is much better than the PPK. I like the PPK myself, but if I had a choice, I'd stick with the revolver. The dealer offering you 2.5L over the trade goes to show you that the revolver is worth more.

Aashir, i will take a colt any day over a Walther PPk/S. you have a serious piece of self defense equipment and don't sell for a 32 acp. you have posted it here for discussion or opinions and i strongly vote for keeping your pony.
regards

Hi Nawab,
Keep the 357.
Like naga said, unless you're in need for some loose change(Which I don't think you do

judging from your recent buying sprees! )...the Colt is a good piece to hang on to.
You got good defense material in you hand...why trade it in for a relatively piddly pea shooter?
The PP/PPK is certainly a nice piece and an unfair aura of misconceptions surround this fine pistol(as you well know already!).... but again in the end its a pocket pistol, and is thus mostly useful for business across the table top....and not as effectively as a 357 would at that

Ashar,
357 magnum is a great caliber in terms of stopping power . Trading it for a .32 acp is hardly a good idea.
best,
RP
PS. I love that snubby 357 you own.
It's always better to have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it !

NOT in derams also think of this change over , 357 COLT is serious stuff and 357 in 2 inche barrel is next to impossible to get in India , some years back i literally hunted for 357 in 2 inche barrel but couldnt get any and settled for .32 S&W 2 inche snubby..Big no no to PPK.Cheers James..

Walthers in India go from 4 lacs to 6 lacs depending on the buyer/seller.. If the dealer is giving you 2.5 lacs additionally.. your gun is valued at aroung 6.5-8.5 lacs
Maybe the dealer has someone for a higher amount and has given you this offer!!!!
why would you want to trade a beach side villa for a pent house???
Why give away a DISKAON for a diskaon..

If you don't need the extra money you should be slapped twice across each cheek to even think about this trade.
