I have not owned one but I have shot my friend's short barreled one. If the new one (long barrel) promises a better trigger go for it. Longer barrel will also make your ears ring less and maybe more accurate...what I am saying is based on guesses and not gospel. But if I were to choose between the two I would take the one with a longer barrel, it looks better. But you must decide based on your need, is it for concealed carry, home defense, or shooting cans?

Try it out before you buy if you can.

Advantages of smaller version are:
a) It is easy to conceal and carry
b) Is cheaper by around 25k

Advantages of longer version are :
a) A longer barrel should lead to a slight increase in muzzle velocity
b) Full sized handguns are easier to handle i.e. aim and fire
c) Better accuracy

Think what your preferences are and then decide accordingly.
