Need purchase info on Revolver and Pistol

Post by ashvini » Wed Jun 22, 2011 10:25 am

Hi All,

I am Indian resident and want to purchase pistol/revolver from India.
Below are my queries:
-Can I buy .32 caliber pistol/revolver as a civilian?
-Can I bug more then .32 caliber pistol/revolver as a civilian?
-Can you please provide me the list of pistols/revolver (of all caliber including .32 or .32+) available in India to purchase?
(if you can share some web link that will be fine, but I have searched net and didn't find much useful information)

Ashvini,

Do you have your arms license in place?

Dear Ashvini:

That was rude! No, you can't buy a firearm as a civilian. You can have a pistol as an arms licence holder civilian.

Pran80 asked you a straight question, and you could have answered it in as straight way!

Cheers,
N.

Also, everyone would appreciate if you could spare some time to introduce yourself to the forum. We don't talk to strangers you know!

Cheers,

silver9,
I never appreciate question that doesn't make any sense.

Great to know two types of civilian, one is just civilian and other license holder civilian :)
Great, have a great forum cheers. I was expecting answer for my queries rather discussing other things.

Sorry, I don't think that I need to introduce my self, I don't have much time for that.
Also thank you for your time guys.

Have a nice day!

You have no respect for the forum. You forgot to read the forum rules. You insulted one of the fellow members! Adios!

this forum is being treated like an enquiry window .people just want their queries answered no matter how absurd they might be.if someone tries to pose a relevant question to them in order to understand their question.they get offended,i guess the learned members and the moderators should try and resolve this nuisance
thanks

:agree: with both Vinay and silver. If Ashvini is clueless abt "Can I buy .32 caliber pistol/revolver as a civilian?" Pran made no mistake in inferring ,he(Ashvini) might not be knowing that one needs a licence to posses or accquire a gun.

I fully agree with Mr Vinay Singh. The use of this forum as a Enquiry Window needs to be discouraged. The Arms Act and the Rules are freely available on the net. The Arms Section in every District Office have experts always ready to advice on how to get a license. Unfortunately, many persons just ask questions on issues which have already been well covered in different parts of the forum itself. Some people are also in the habit of giving a false impression that they are already in possession of a license. The only way to discourage these elements is to shut them off at the initial stage, by asking pointed questions.
