Model 41 by S&W was designed as a pure bred target pistol and was sold reasonably cheaper then European made target pistols. I have seen guys scoring very respectable scores with it at state and national level competitions. Any modification by altering the original contours or drilling holes would deter it's value and beauty and would not be advisable. Again it may not take kindly to constant diet of high/hyper velocity .22 ammo. But then it's your baby.

you can buy scope mount for pistol and use it both with scope and laser same time. no drilling or modification required with such mount here is one example

congratulation .. great acquisition.!!

here one more example, maybe better fit for S&W 41
