Aquiring A handgun License in India

Hi all.

I am Ishak. I am a new member. I've got a keen interest on Guns from childhood itself. I am Indian currently working in another country. I know that its pretty difficult to get a Gun License in India. Can some one advice me which is the easiest way to acquire it? I've heard that, if we attempt for a license for the purpose of sports/recreational shooting its easier. Is this true?. Also tell me if there is any authorized dealers for Smith & Wesson handguns in India?
