Hi All, I am a serving officer; recently obtained an all india licence for a pistol/revolver/rifle. Please clarify the following doubts:
(a) Any priority for Defence Officers at GSF Kolkatta or any other depot?
(b) Any tax exemption on such a weapon from IOF? If yes what to do to get it?
(c) I have registered for a NSP 7.62 pistol in 2005 with QMG branch AHQ, still not got it. Any sugessions on this regard? As somebody had mentioned earlier that about 7.62 pistol from OF Jabalpur @ Rs 800.
(d) I didnot like the finish of the IOF .32 pistol (2002 make). Is the quality better now? Is it still coming crome plated?
Regards, Maj Johnson

Re: Advise on buying .32 pistol
Major wait around and try getting a nice NSP, u may find yourself some good revolvers unless u are really hung up on a pistol... Tip if u have any friends in ordnance specially jabalpur u may find a good piece.
I dont dial 911... I dial .357
