The Rossi Wizard Pistol is the pistol variant of the single shot and interchangeable barrel Rossi Wizard rifle system.

The Wizard Pistol takes the same break-open interchangeable barrel system and makes it lighter and smaller for handgun hunting, target shooting or plinking. Available in .243 Win. or .22-.250 Rem with other calibers coming soon, the Wizard Pistol offers outstanding and reliable performance in a versatile package. Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

The Thompson Center Contenders are a similar break-open style of handgun. I fired one in 7.62 X 39. I was a bit apprehensive about firing a rifle shell in a handgun but there is enough weight there that the recoil is very manageable.
