Arms Act 1959 only talks about prohibited arms and ammunition. Arms Act 1959 does not speak about PB/NPB. It is only Arms Rules 1962 that talks of PB/NPB. PB/NPB thing has been described at http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php ... 43#p115943 and http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php ... 80&start=0

I don't post very often but when I see someone Offering advice that I think may not be the best I do post. I don't think many posters here have really handled a Desert Eagle. I own one and have a few thousand rounds through it. There is no kick if you hold it right. It will lift when fired. My wife is 5' tall and 110 lbs. She has shot mine many times. As for useless I have killed a lot of wild hogs with it. If you can afford one I say get it. Nothing is free anymore.

In india .50 AE Cartridges are available ??
I think it will be one of the rare Cal Ammo to be found in India apart from if some one brought it from abroad.

You can change calibers with this gun. Just install a 44 mag. barrel and you have a Desert Eagle in 44 Mag. Change the bolt and barrel and you have a 357 mag. Any one that has any proficiency with a handgun do very well at 100 yards with it. It is a large gun. Not meant to be concealed carried. it is how ever a very good hunting gun. It has no more kick that my Glock G20SF 10mm. If your interested in something that has kick try a S&W 500mag with 700gr. lead bullet or a S&W 460 mag. They are not for everyone but They are fun if your into big bore hand guns. I will try to find some video at the range and post it.

ronj you are right on your point but most of these ammo is not freely available in India and even if its available with some dealer then with a sky high price.
