Sorry to be off topic...

But wanted to share that, after retiring, some of the gunsmiths of Munger Gun Factory start their own cottage industry to make illegal arms..

Long time ago, had a chance to look upon a .315 Cal. rifle which was recovered by local police from the criminals. The rifle was foldable and was in divided in three parts. Thus rifle was concealable in small bag. This rifle could be screwed and made in ready to fire condition in couple of minutes. Upon insvestigation, the police discovered that this Rifle was made by the EX EMPLOYEES OF MUNGER GUN FACTORY...

The rifling, the looks, the stock & the finish of the rifle was sheer pleasure to watch and was capable enough to put IOF made rifles to shame....

Sorry to hijack the thread but this incident got refreshed since the name of Munger Gun Factory came as mention...

Tried it yesterday.
Good looking, external finish fairly OK.
Heavy, over 9 lb but so are many other guns.
Balance not top heavy.
Down barrel heavily choked to .710

Hard trigger pull at factory set pressure.
Striker pin spring tension too high, it bore through the primer of Victory Compak cartridges.

Fairly OK but because of its weight not exactly something you look forward to shoot with.

OK - nothing extraordinary about it.

Really? I didn't know that. I thought it was the top barrel . Choked to .710 hhmmm , can you kindly post the measurement for both the barrels ?

Yes , I found that happen in the down barrel , not so much in the top barrel .

I really haven't handled it enough to comment. It is heavy but so long as someone uses it for just recreational trap and skeet it should be okay, though, I suppose, one would like to upgrade as one improves.

I haven't shot it but the owner hasn't complained about any malfunction yet. However, it is only a couple of months old.

The triggers are hard to press and the first time I had to double check to see if I had left the safety on. However, one soon gets used to it and if it is someone's only gun he should not have a problem once he is familiar with its functioning.

Though I am not in position to buy this shotty but still what do you think can trigger be worked upon and made lighter than factory setting?

Doc : As per my friend's SMS, the lower barrel is a cylinder whilst the top barrel has a constriction but he is not sure how much it is.

Inder : I haven't stripped this gun but I suppose the triggers could be made a little lighter by a competent enough person. When you get your licence, I could have Nahaar bring the gun over for you to have a look at.
