AC
Guess it makes sense to have security personnel/armed escorts to be armed with pistol grip shotguns.

IIRC this particular gun does not have ejectors, but some of the guns that come out of Jammu, Mehar Singh for one, have very good ejectors, never failed to eject.

The problem lies in the pistol grip, they tend to give way if the gun is frequently used with heavy loads.

AC et all... these sell basically because it is MUCH MUCH easier to get a shotgun license in India than it is to get a handgun license... period! People buy these (so called "hockey stock") shotguns as they are easily concealed below a shawl/ chador and to a certain extent provide some level of concealed carry in the rural areas...

That does not mean that they are a pleasure to shoot, OR that they are particularly useful - these pistol/ hockey grip shotguns are IMHO beastly to shoot... try it, and then tell me what you think of the recoil and if a properly aimed quick second shot is actually possible!

They are mostly doubles, so if you don't manage to down the attackers in 2 shots... then you can use them as a club... in this last role they are actually a lot more handy as compared to a conventional double... but then so is a laathi (stick)... and a laathi would cost you 50 bucks not several thousand!!! :P

Cheers!
