The matter of Birmingham made trade guns bearing the names of many famous London gunmakers as well as those of gunmakers and retailers throughout the UK is well documented but the other day Vikram and I were given a piece of information by no less a personage than the gunmaker Robin Brown of A.A.Brown & Sons that I found absolutely astonishing. I won`t tell you what that was ... You`ll have to guess - but it concerns the matter of trade guns and one gun in particular. So ... who wants to make an outrageous guess ?

They made several Churchill guns it seems. That includes a pair of XXVs for Prince of Wales.

However, the OP is about another maker.

So was Vikram in the UK when this information was revealed? Or were you and Mr. Brown on a visit to Georgia to sample the local cuisine?

I wish it was so, Steve. Actually, it was on a Facebook post.

Merry Christmas & nice to hear from you!

Most of William Evans were made by Webley, the Webley screw grip with intercepting sears were good actions.

I think Holland & Holland Badminton's had a Brown connection, or was it the Dominion model.
