Black Friday special - Beretta Outlander

Post by conty1 » Sun Dec 01, 2013 8:35 pm

Been wanting to upgrade the pump action 870 for a while now. So when I saw an ad for Cabelas Black Friday sale last week, I jumped on it. Fortunately, by the time I came back home from work and made it to Cabelas, they had one left in stock!! Needless to say I blurted "we'll take it" so fast, even the salesman was a bit like... "umm.... great"!!

It's a Beretta A300 Outlander in a synthetic 'Realtree' finish. 12 guage, 28" barrel, chambered for 3" shells and semi-automatic action!! Must plan a bird hunt soon now!! 8)

Also while we were there looking around, found a Simmons spotting scope: 20-60X60. I figured, at $39.99, I couldn't go much wrong with it.

Very nice Amit.

Only $40 for the Simmons scope. For the money, that's a bargain!

Good buy Amit. I was at the local Cabelas in the evening and got the Tipton cleaning vise (50% off) and a cleaning handle with brushes inside. I was VERY tempted on the spotting scopes that also had the hard case. Maybe another time.

The pic is there. You just have to click on the link to open. I tried but it just wont show up automatically like the scope does.

Maybe the mods can help?

Just don't lean it against a tree while attending to personal business, you'll never find it again.

Here is a photo of the camo outlander from Beretta's site:

Thanks for the pic D!! Isn't she a beauty?? :-)

Update on the scope price: while filing the receipt I found a $10 mail-in-rebate. Final price: $29.99!

Real Tree Camo is really cool but I've always wondered if a somebody accidentally dropped it and it slid down a hill in a deep forest, wouldnt it be difficult to find?

LOL, Yeah, it would be difficult to find if the camo matched the natural patterns in the area but the idea is not to drop it. The idea is to prevent your prey from seeing it before you get a shot at them.
On the other hand if there is a beaver looking for a new mantel decoration (as Briha suggests), you might lose it too. :)
Just keep away from Maine, Amit,.... and you should be good.
