I just checked the rates with Bangalore Gun house
For an O/u he is quoting 35
For a SxS he is quoting a starting rate from 21 upto 25.
I will check them out this week.

SxS should be anywhere between 12-16 or 17 K tops,O/U under 25.

Very steep indeed !!! But then these might be the prevailing rates in your parts.

If he wants 35K just ask him how much amount will he give you the bill/receipt for? I think he will give you a receipt for only 11K or so for the O/U.

WOW is that all. looks like these fellows are making good cash.

Sanjay the price you mentioned i presume is the selling price inclusive of all the the dealers profits and costs included(transport etc). I wonder what the actual cost price of this is.

Where is this gun manufactured.

Indian - thanks for that tip I will check it out.

Dhillon I presume that you picked up a O/U. - How is the gun? any idea if the barrles are choke or cylinder.

hi sniper :)

i do not have the modern and i reside in canada.most of my experience in india is with imported shotguns and few indian makes like IOF and Nakasy.i studied in davangere and used to visit bellary dealers for ammo(for relatives in AP).i had nice experience with sreenivasa armoury in bellary compared to many dealers in AP.they also used to show me lots of guns, both imported and indian in their stock irrespective of the fact that i was there for some ammo.

cheers :)

Jammu

Cylinder. Though the top barrel feels a bit tight at the muzzle.

For self/home defence both are equal. The O/U is slightly heavier than the SXS and more expensive too ( same brand). For sporting purpose , one would not use an indian made 12ga anyways. There have been some reports regarding indian O/U giving problems later, however nothing is confirmed. Its just a matter of which way you like your barrels to be oriented. :)

best,
