Is it

Post by James_Bond » Thu Mar 27, 2014 11:32 pm

Some of old gyes( Those are Ex.Serviceman and above the age of 60.y. Those who used a both type of weapon)) Share their Experience
1) Sbbl are more accurate Than Dbbl. said by Some of old gyes( Those are Ex.Serviceman and above the age of 60) W heather Indian or Imported.
2) If you want to purchase any type of Indian gun, Than purchase that type of gun which was manufactured till 1985. Because after that the metal use for manufacturing the gun are very poor. And the Temper of gun( inside the bore/Barrel) are very low, which causes poor/Less accuracy and also Less effective Range.

3) Presently Indian DBBl are more heavier than any imported Dbbl, Which are the another cause of Less accuracy and effective range.

1. Probably, if you are shooting slugs.
3. Type of steel and temper, as well as weight, have no influence whatsoever on range and accuracy. Accuracy applies only to a single projectile, by the way. "Effective" range depends on the size of the shot, the distance, and the size and specie of prey; velocity and shooters ability being equal.

"Effective range" is a military term, with parameters unique to each military. One of the parameters being the distance at which the standard ball load will penetrate through the most likely opponents' steel helmet.

There`s also the point that there have been some really poor Spanish shotgun barrels made ..... Several years ago an English gunmaking business failed because the second batch of Spanish barrels they purchased were so bad.

Neither do I Navi. The problem with single barrel shotguns is that they were/are invariably built down to a price. Cheap is cheap however you look at it.

To this I would add "except for trap guns".

In the US .... single barrel Trap is virtually unknown in Europe. Greener used to make a GP Trap gun but I suspect that was for export. Obviously companies like Perazzi and Browning make single barrel Trap guns for the US market.
