ngrewal,Sanjay-thanks a lot for the info.

I do have some remaining documents at home-will study them thoroughly.

BTW I have 5 of my great dad's medals and some ribbons/colours-Is there anybody aboard who has knowledege on medals, can email the photos cas my knowlede abt them is practically zero.

try the aution houses like christes etc, they have medel experts who will give free advice, say u want to sell them in the auctions.

give them some info ie dates, unit and say if u have any paper work which was given at the time.

they should be able to give u more info.
