Dear IFGians,
Just a thought to remember our brethern of the Army who are currently posted in J&K and specially in Kashmir. While all of us are cuddled up in a warm blankets for the night, our soldiers are roughing it out in -6 degree temperature in Srinagar valley. My brother a Colonel has been in Srinagar for some time, was telling me how the jawans stand all night at the Cantonment gate and in patrols in this weather, where ordinarily it's difficult to even stand in the open because it's so cold. How easy it is for us to take them for granted...
I can't even begin to describe our Army brothers in Siachin...their unbelievable discipline and determination and they deserve respect and a sincere salute from all of us.
I salute our brothers in the Army and other Paramilitary forces for their sacrifice and discipline,on behalf of all of us.
