Financial assistance from National Sports Development Fund to Shooter Abhinav Bindra – visit to Germany for stock personalization of rifle, ammunition test

Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved financial assistance to Shooter Abhinav Bindra from NSDF for his visit to Germany during the period from September 01 to 11, 2015 for the following purpose:

I do not know how funding some particular shooters is going to popularize the sport among the common masses, when the cost of guns and ammunition is beyond the reach of most of the aspiring shooters? Add to it the draconian gun licensing laws.
