Even though the free wheeling hubs will give you better mileage and put less wear on your front diff and components, I wouldn't recommend it, G Wagen doesn't come with it, reason is that if you do occasional 4WD, chances of jamming up your front diff and T case is quite the norm, have seen it happen many a times, the whole front diff and T case has to be dismantled to clean up the tar which builds and blocks the gears, also some critical bearigs and bushes inside the diff and T case don't get the splash lubrication which is normal with non free wheeling hub 4WDs.
