Don't you just love a mess?

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

Don't you just love a mess?

Post by Mack The Knife » Sat Mar 10, 2007 10:48 pm

It all starts off nice and tidy but a few hours down the line and it begins to resemble this...

I dont even want to think about the time I had with a broomhandle mauser in 7.63mm.
I swear, i could hear things rattling inside! :(
Well, if an armourer's work table doesent look like a gun exploded there, not much feast of reason and flow of soul... innit?

A very useful drafting table :)

Why do you think I did not snap at you when you said you could not make it?

Ofcourse, had the dismantling not gone to plan.... ;)

Since it's in pieces, there's no point going to the range tomorrow. So, if you like, do drop in. There's an entry charge of one bottle of Hoppes Bore Solvent.

And please don't bring your pea shooter along, I'll be a wee bit distracted for the next few days. ;)

The table cloth is to keep the Home Minister happy.....on the rare occassion she gets to use it. Infact I had to worm myself into her good books and get it back.

By the way, you think that table is untidy ? !!!
Only someone who is incredibly houseproud could consider that table untidy.
And something else......that tablecloth...................
Look, a gunsmiths bench is raw wood.....that way it soaks up oil spillages and general gunk. Can`t award you your gunsmiths turnscrews until you dump the tablecloth.
Unless......Are you setting up as an `alternative` gunsmith in the Stephen and Jeffery vein ? In which case.....nice tablecloth......Do you use protective paper doillies on your barrels to prevent splashes ? :D :D :D

The table cloth is camoflauge. ;)

The wife thinks the table is meant for her to have her breakfast on and I am not about to argue.

I'd rather have that table, table cloth and all, instead of sweet FA.

I use the foot mat for that but don't tell her. ;)

Have you and Anupam made a pact to use the  smiley anywhere and everywhere?

It could earn either of you a rap on the knuckles if taken in the wrong context or misunderstood. Isn't it enough that your posts are barely understandable at times?

And divert all from the facts that the table legs are ...uncovered and I think I can see a doilly there
